SMARTONE IPTV: HOW TO INSTALL IT ON YOUR SMART TV?

Smartone IPTV

SmartOne IPTV is a playlist player for Smart TVs. It does not come with any channels. You add your own IPTV subscription to it, and the app plays it with a TV-style channel list, a film and series library and a programme guide. This guide shows you how to install it, add your Xtreme HD IPTV playlist, activate the app and fix the problems people run into most often.

What is SmartOne IPTV?

SmartOne IPTV is a media player that reads M3U playlists. Once your playlist is loaded, you get live channels, films and series in one place, controlled with your normal TV remote. It is a popular choice on Samsung and LG Smart TVs, where apps such as IPTV Smarters are not always available in the store, and it also runs on Android devices.

The app is paid. New users can try it first, and after that you pay a small activation fee on the developer’s website, either for a set period or once for the lifetime of the device. Prices change from time to time, so check the activation page for the current fee before you pay.

SmartOne IPTV features

  • Live TV, films and series in separate sections.
  • A full video player: play, pause, resume, rewind and fast forward.
  • Favourites list, so your most-watched channels are one click away.
  • Support for more than one playlist on the same TV.
  • Several interface languages and audio track options.
  • Settings you can adjust to suit your TV and remote.

Before you start

  • A Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS) Smart TV, or an Android TV box or phone.
  • Your Xtreme HD IPTV M3U link. You receive it by email after you order or request a free trial.
  • A phone, tablet or computer with a web browser, to upload the playlist.
  • A stable internet connection. We recommend 50 Mbps or more, and a cable connection to the TV if you can.

Step 1: Install SmartOne IPTV on your TV

  1. Open the app store on your TV (Samsung Apps or the LG Content Store).
  2. Search for SmartOne IPTV and install it.
  3. Open the app. A MAC address is shown on screen. Write it down exactly as it appears, because you need it for the next steps.

Step 2: Add your IPTV playlist

SmartOne IPTV does not let you type a playlist on the TV itself. You upload it from a browser instead, using the MAC address of your TV.

  1. On your phone or computer, open the SmartOne IPTV playlist page.
  2. Choose the last tab, From M3U Playlist URL.
  3. Enter the MAC address from your TV in the MAC field.
  4. Give the playlist a name, for example Xtreme HD IPTV.
  5. Paste your M3U link into the M3U playlist field.
  6. Tick I am not a robot. Leave the notes box empty.
  7. Click Generate Smart Key.
  8. Close and reopen SmartOne IPTV on your TV. Your channel list loads and you can start watching.

Step 3: Activate SmartOne IPTV

When the trial period of the app ends, you need to activate it to keep using it. Activation is paid to the app developer, not to us, and it is separate from your IPTV subscription.

  1. Open SmartOne IPTV on your TV and note the MAC address.
  2. On your phone or computer, go to the SmartOne IPTV activation page.
  3. Enter the MAC address and choose the activation you want.
  4. Tick the agreement box and press the payment button.
  5. Restart the app on your TV. It is now activated.

SmartOne IPTV not working? Quick fixes

  • The channel list is empty. Check that the MAC address you entered matches the one on the TV, character for character. Then close and reopen the app.
  • “Playlist could not be loaded”. Copy the M3U link again from your email and upload it once more. A single missing character stops it working.
  • Channels freeze or buffer. Restart your router and TV, and use a cable instead of Wi-Fi if possible. Other devices downloading at the same time can also slow the stream.
  • No programme guide (EPG). The guide can take a few minutes to load the first time. If it stays empty, contact us and we will check your playlist.
  • Your trial has ended. If the app asks you to activate, that is the SmartOne app trial, not your IPTV subscription. Follow Step 3 above.

Frequently asked questions

Is SmartOne IPTV free?

No. You can try it first, and then pay a small activation fee to the developer. Your IPTV subscription is paid separately.

Does SmartOne IPTV include channels?

No. It is only a player. The channels, films and series come from your IPTV subscription.

Can I use SmartOne IPTV on two TVs?

Each TV has its own MAC address, so you add the playlist and activate the app on each TV separately. Your IPTV plan must also allow two devices. Our plans are available for 1 or 2 devices.

Is there an alternative to SmartOne IPTV?

Yes. On Samsung and LG TVs, IBO Player and SET IPTV work in a similar way. On Fire Stick and Android, IPTV Smarters Pro is often the easiest option.
